the Arts Noticed, tAN was founded in July 2007 and incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in October 2008. It is presently a 501(c)(3) NPO serving the creative Arts worldwide.

David Leikam
(tAN, Founder / President / Treasurer / Artistic Director)
David earned a BFA degree in Music Composition (2001) and MFA degree in Wadada Leo Smith's Performer/Composer - African Improvisational Music (2006) studies from the California Institute of the Arts along with a certification with honors in audio engineering from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA (1997). He has studied and collaborated in music over the last 24 years with Wadada Leo Smith, Eddie Gale, Arthur Jarvinen, Vinny Golia, Morton Subotnick, Muruga Booker, David Rosenboom, Kidd Jordan, James Gurley, and other prominent Artists. He is also a veteran graphic designer/fine artist for the last 26 years along with a strong past minor studies in modern dance collaboration since 1999 and psychology research since 1992.
Currently, David is living in the San Francisco Bay Area leading the industrial jazz quartet unit zBug and hosting/producing his weekly live global radio show "In Your Ear ..." with David Bug at KZSU 90.1FM Stanford University where he is also the Jazz Music Director since July 2010.
